Former President Barack Obama is not a stranger to us. His unprecedented achievement as the first African American to become the 44th president of the United State will not be forgotten in a hurry.
Born on the fourth day of August 1961, to an African father and an American mother, Obama studied Harvard Law School and practised afterwards before lecturing University of Chicago Law School.
Obama was a Senator before he was elected the 44th President of the United States of America in 2007. He won re-election in 2013/
Recalling his relationship with his parents, Obama said, “That my father looked nothing like the people around me – that he was black as pitch, my mother white as milk – barely registered in my mind.”
In 2009, Obama was awarded Nobel Peace Prize for his impacts and effort in ensuring peace in the middle east, in Asia and other parts of the world.
