What do you know about intersex? Most of us know too little about these sexually different people. We hardly knew that there are people who are genetically made up for a particular sexual orientation but psychologically made for another gender.
This is the case of Babalwa, who is a guy with a lady’s body. He and her partner Thando have been together for a while now and have been helping themselves understand the intricacies of this biological miss-up.
They both shared with BBC Africa the challenges inherent in being and being with an intersex and the incredible realities that the status of brings.
They particular try to give an answer to the pertinent question of who decides the sex of an intersex child and how an intersex person can announce his/her gender,
"I'm intersex, I don't get periods and I'm going through menopause."
