Produced in 2017 and directed by Niyi Akinmolayon, Wedding party 2, is the highest-grossing Nigerian film of all time. Produced by Priscilla Nwanah, Temidayo Abudu and Tope Oshin Ogun, the film was a sequel to “The Wedding Party”, which was released on December 2016. The film has recorded total revenue of 512,000,000.

The film Produced by Ebonylife Films, FilmOne, Inkblot Production and Koga Studios stars Iretiola, Banky Wellington, Adesua Etomi, Enyinna Nwigwe, Patience Ozokwor, and others.

“The Wedding Party” was produced by the producers of “The Wedding party 2”, However, directed by Kemi Adetiba. The film reported recorded a total of 453,050,000 Naira in the box office, making it the second highest-grossing movie in Nigeria of all time.

The film tells the story of the tribal clashed that ensued as a result of the marriage between a yoruba bride and her Igbo groom and how they were able to circumvent this issue.

Chief Daddy” is produced by EbonyLife, the film tells the story of a billionaire industrialist, Chief Beecroft, who serves as a benefactor to a large extended family of relatives, household staff and mistresses. He dies suddenly and his will creates a saga amongst his extended families.

The film features popular Nollywood actors and actresses Funke Akindele Bello, Kate Henshaw, Nkem Owoh, Joke Silva, Patience Ozokwor, Richard Mofe Damijo and Racheal Oniga.

Chief Daddy earned over N40 million worth of movie tickets within the first three days of its release in Nigerian cinemas on December 14, 2018. The comedy earned a total of N387,463,949

King of Boys

King of Boys is produced by Kemi Adetiba. It stars Sola Sobowale, Etomi, Reminisce, Toni Tones, Jide Kosoko and others.

King of Boys tells the story of Alhaja Eniola Salami (played by Sola Sobowale), a businesswoman and philanthropist with and a promising political future. She is drawn into a struggle for power which in turn threatens everything around her as a result of her growing political ambitions. To come out of this on top, she is caught up in a game of trust, not knowing who to really look up to and this leads to her ruthlessness.

The film earned a total of N231,719,753, and therefore listed as the fourth highest-grossing film in Nigeria.

Merry Men: The Real Yoruba Demons

Released to the cinemas on September 28, 2018, “Merry Men: The Real Yoruba Demons” is produced by AY Makun. The film has its settings in Nigerian’s capital, Abuja.

The comedy tells the story of four rich men (the Merry Men) who seduce powerful women, get contracts from the political elite, steal from the rich, give to the poor and have sex with the hottest women in town.

The comedy features Ayo Makun, Folarin Falana, Ramsey Nouah, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Jim Iyke, other. It earned 230,000,000 in total.

A Trip To Jamaica

“A Trip to Jamaica” is a Nigerian comedy-drama film directed by Robert Peters starring Ayo Makun, Funke Akindele, Nse Ikpe Etim and Dan Davies.

The film tells a story about the adventures of a newly engaged couple in their relative’s residence outside Nigeria, and how the secrets of their host led to the eventual breakup of their union amidst the culture shock of the new country and living with upper-class citizens.

A Trip to Jamaica earned a total of N178,500,000.

10 Days in Sun City

Earning a total of N177,000,000, “10 Days in Sun City” stars Richard Mofe Damijo, Adesuwa Etomi Wellington, Mercy Johnson, Innocent Idibia (2face Idibia), Folarin Falana (Falz the bad guy), Fathia Balogun and others.

The film, which has its setting in South Africa, was directed by Adze Ugha and produced by Ayo Mayodun.

A potpourri of love, drama, passion and culture, “10 Days in Sun City” is a comedy-drama that sees Akpos on another ‘adventure’, this time, to South Africa, with his girlfriend Bianca.

30 Days in Atlanta

Also Produced by AY Makun, “30 Days in Atlanta” was declared the highest-grossing film of all time in Nigerian cinemas in 2015, although the film was met with mixed to negative critical reception.

The film begins in a crowded room where Majid Michel, the MC of an event, announced that Akpos (AY) had just won an all-expenses paid trip to the United States. Akpos was allowed to bring along one other person and he chose to go with his childhood friend, Richard (Ramsey Nouah). The rest of the movie follows Akpos and Richard in Atlanta, Georgia, and documents their experiences in “obodo oyibo”.

The comedy earned a total of N137,200,000

Fifty is produced by EbonyLife Film and directed by Biyi Bandele. it stars Nse Ikpe-Etim, Ireti Doyle, Omoni Oboli,
Dakore Akande and other alist stars.

Fifty captures few pivotal days of four women at the pinnacle of their careers. Tola, Elizabeth, Maria and Kate are four friends forced at midlife to take inventory at their personal lives, while juggling career and family against the backdrops of the neighbourhoods of Lagos.

It earned a total of 90,035,000 at the box office.

Up North

This movie quickly topped the box office after its release on December 28, 2018. It went on to make N50 million in its first 10days.

Up North is a 2018 Nigerian film produced by Anakle Films and Inkblot Productions, and directed by Tope Oshin Ogun.
