Wizkid Becomes First African Artist To Hit 8 Million Monthly Listeners On Spotify

One of Nigeria’s most celebrated musician, Wizkid, has made history as the first African artist to reach 8 million monthly listeners on the music streaming giant, Spotify.

This is not unconnected to his collaborations with the likes of Beyoncé and Drake. 

In recent time, Nigerians artist have been gain global recognition for their achievement. This year alone, Davido became the first African artist to have a video reach 100 million views on YouTube, Burna Boy made history on the UK charts with African Giant, and now, Wizkid has become Spotify’s most visible African artist.
