Nora Awolowo Tells The Emotional Stories of Visually Impaired In Her New Documentary “Discovery Quest” Watch

While about 4,25 Million persons are reported to be Visually Impaired in Nigerians, the Nigerian society seems to have disregarded the plight, challenges and stigma faced by these folks.

The fact that 90% of the worlds visually impaired live in developing countries, is complicated by the realisation that 80 per cent of blindness visual impairment is avoidable

This huge incidence of blindness and sight defects in the country is enough reason why we should tell the story of successes, challenges and victories of the visually impaired in the country.

In a bid to tell the compelling and inspirational stories of blind folks in the country, Nora Awolowo, a young filmmaker, came up with a documentary titled “Discovery Quest” to project the reality of the life of people living without sight.

The documentary did not just create awareness about the challenges of people living without their sight, it, also share the stories of how these beautiful people are making the best use of their lives despite restraint on their sense of sight.

Nora in a word said the documentary is “about the challenges, struggles and victories of the visually impaired in the society.”
