Living without a breast or both can be life-altering for many women. However, It might be the last resort for women who are suffering or have suffered from breast cancer.
Speaking to BBC Africa, women who have had to undergo a mastectomy to prevent their breast cancer from spreading, outline their ordeal living without one of their breasts.
They spoke about how the procedure had impacted their love life, family and social relationship. Being a survival of this terrible health challenge they spoke on how they have learned to survive.
