Plans have been finalized to see to the production of a five-part mini-series to portray the lives of 2Pac and his mother, Afeni Shakur – tagged the most formidable mother-son duo of the 1990s.

On his 1995 track, “Dear Mama” 2Pac described his relationship with his mother, who was indeed a committed woman who fought for the African-American community within the Black Panther Party.

From her autobiography, “Afeni Shakur: Evolution of a Revolutionary”, it is clear that Tupac Shakur was influenced by his mother Afeni, to fight for justice, fairness and equality for the African-American community.

After the death of her son in the 1990s, Afeni created the Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation (TASF) in his honor to engage young people in the arts. She directed the foundation until her death in 2016. As for her son, he has left us a decisive discography for American rap.

In honor of their great contribution to society, the five-part mini-series “Outlaw: The Saga of Afeni and Tupac Shakur” will x-ray the incredible lives of these two.

Station Magazine understands that the series is expected to be directed by Allen Hughes, who was already behind the docu-series on Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine for HBO.
