As Nigerians raise their voice against rape and all forms of sexual assault, Kunle Afolayan and his film production company, KAP Motion Pictures, has called attention to rape and sexual assault with a scene from his upcoming movie Citation.
The filmmaker, through the Instagram page of his company, admonished against rape with a short scene where Haitian-born Hollywood actor Jimmy Jean Louis, was strangling Tomi Otedola in an attempt to rape her.
The footage had the text “We Say No To Rape”, “We Say No To Sexual Assault”, “Don’t be afraid to get help” and more flashing across the screen.
The message portrayed in the short clip is a projection of the central theme of the anticipated movie, “Citation”.
The film tells the story of a young undergraduate student who has to deal with the awkward situation of sexual harassment from a popular male lecturer.
The multilingual film was written by Tunde Babalola and has its primary location on the campus of Obafemi Awolowo University.
The “Citation” stars Haitian-born Hollywood actor, Jimmy Jean Louis, Temi Otedola Sadiq Daba Gabriel Afolayan, The Okan twins, Ini Edo, Lola Maja, among others.
