Kenyan Chef Breaks World Record, Cooks For 75 Hours Non-Stop

Maliha Mohammed, a Kenyan chef based in Mombasa has been awarded the Guinness World Record for the longest time spent cooking.

Mohammed broke the record after she cooked for 75 hours non-stop Sunday, August 18 at Kenya Bay Beach Resort in Mombasa.

Rickey Lumpkin, an American, was the earlier holder of the record of the longest cooking marathon. This was achieved within 68 hours 30 minutes 01 seconds in Los Angeles, USA, in 2018.

The 36-years old chef holds to her name on the Guinness Book of World Records a list of 400 recipes of local and international cuisines for the competition.

As part of her initiative to raise awareness and to feed the less fortunate in Mombasa, Maliha gave put the foods she prepared to charity homes and orphanages
