The former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, yesterday escaped being lynched by members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in Nürnberg, Germany.
The senator, representing Enugu West, was in Germany New Yam festival.
Although Ekweremadu and his media team have not reacted to this matter. A video that flooded the internet showed the senator being beaten by angry Nigerians. He escaped what seemed like a mob.
The Nigerian government and the Apex cultural group of the South Eastern People, Ohenaeze, have since condemned the attack on the former Deputy Senate leader.

Nigerians have been reacting. While some condemn the treatment meted out on the senator, others believe that it is Revolution Now campaign at work.

Ike Ekweremadu got it in Germany but can those living down here get the same ?
Can this be an eye opener or will it be the first of many to come or ….
I won't radically criticize or constructively do that as well cause enough is enough
Let's just sit back and watch

Ike Ekweremadu was badly beaten by his ethnic group folks for unknown reasons.
While I will not support violence and assault on anyone, I think he should use the opportunity to reflect on the monster that he and some Eastern politicians created- IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu etc.

Just here thinking out loud, what if it was Rotimi Amaechi that was caught by the IPOB instead of Ike Ekweremadu in Germany?

What happened to my friend and brother Sen. Ike Ekweremadu in Nuremberg, Germany at the hands of IPOB is an eye-opener and clear signal to every political leader in southern Nigeria! The people of the south are getting angry and you either stand up and defend them or stand aside!

Just saw the video of Igbos in Germany beating up Ike Ekweremadu.
"Ibiara iri ji, rigbukwee onwe gi na ji!'
??????.
Seems Nigerians in diaspora want to start teaching these people one or two lessons.

Nigerians keep disgracing themselves on the international scene everyday. How do a group of Nigerians in a civilized society manage to act so barbaric? I am not even concerned if the victim is Ike Ekweremadu or not. I am just appalled at such animalistic behaviour. pic.twitter.com/9RbV8h7Uki
