A former aide to Former President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri has given Nigerian Twitter users a topic to deliberate on.
The aide who shared his opinion about who was more deserving of the Nobel Prize for Literature award between, literary legends, Professor Chinua Achebe and Professor Wole Soyinka, stated that the latter deserved the honour rather than former.
Reno stated on his twitter handle:
“Between Chinua Achebe and Professor Wole Soyinka, I would gove the @NobelPrize for Literature to Achebe 100 times out of 100 times. I don’t understand how Soyinka got it and Achebe did not. I read their books. Achebe’s works are by far the more superior works of literature.”
While some folks approved of Omokri stance about who deserves the honour between the known novelist and the dramatist, others condemned and argued otherwise.

Albert Einstein was denied one for his most famous work.
Wole Soyinka is no way close to Achebe.

I've read both Chinua Achebe and Prof. Soyinka's works and will still give @NobelPrize to the Prof 100 times bcs of Prof's uniqueness in lang/diction. Yes, Achebe has good works but they look normal to other works. Soyinka works are deeper in Africa culture than Achebe's
