The Nigerian Twitter users are calling for justice for the death of a 22-Year-old student who was raped and brutally murdered by unknown persons.
Vera Uwaila Omozuwa, a 100-level student of the University of Benin, Edo State, was raped and killed while reading in a Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) church off-campus.
The victim, according to her sister, Judith, died in hospital on Saturday, three days after the attack.
Omozuwa was found by a security guard with her clothes torn and with varying degrees of injuries inflicted on her by her assailant with a fire extinguisher.
The Edo State police command, through it spokesperson, stated that the commend is treating the matter as murder and not rape.
The student died following a fight at the church, the spokesperson added, without giving more details.

Reactions have, however, trailed the death of the young student. Twitter users in Nigeria are currently asking for the police to fish out the perpetrators and bring them to book.
She had just been admitted to the University of Benin to study microbiology. She was 22. Uwa's dream of becoming a nurse has now been dashed by rapists and murders. All she wanted to do was read. When will girls feel safe again? #JusticeForUwa pic.twitter.com/fslvHzgLb8

Someone was raped while reading in the church.
You are asking why she went to read in the church.
Are you okay at all? Are you more concerned about the location of reading or about the crime and violation that was committed?
Where is our humanity? #JusticeForUwa
