Nigeria Twitter has reacted to the pegging of the cut-off mark for public Universities at 160 and Private universities at 140 by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

The decision was taken at the Bola Babalakin auditorium, Gbongan, Osun state, during the 19th policy meeting on admissions to tertiary institutions in Nigeria on Tuesday.

The policy meeting, which was attended by stakeholders in the education sector, was presided over by JAMB Registrar, Isaq Oloyede.

The policy meeting also saw the approval 140 as a minimum score for admission into private universities in the country.

The minimum UTME score approved for admission into public polytechnics is 120, while 110 was approved for private polytechnics. For colleges of education, 100 and above was approved as the cut-off marks.
