Lagos Theatre Festival 2020

Lagos Theatre Festival was conceived and launched in 2013 by the British Council, with the purpose to provide a platform for theatre makers in Nigeria to produce theatre works for unconventional spaces and develop audiences for theatre productions. The management of the festival recently transited into the care of a registered trust, a Not-for-Profit organisation – LTF Foundation LTD/GTE managed by a Board of Directors – Olasupo Shasore SAN (Chairman), Ajoke Silva, Bolanle Austen-Peters, David Evans, Ojoma Ochai and Tosin Oshinowo.

While talking about some of the key things the festival will be looking out for in the applications, LTF Foundation Board Member, Tosin Oshinowo said, “Lagos Theatre Festival is aimed at promoting theatre in Nigeria, and interested in works that are unique and can be adapted to unconventional spaces. We look forward to receiving applications from producers, directors and performers who are ready to think out-of-the-box and eager to present works from different genre of theatre.”

The 6th edition of the festival, LTF 2019, featured over 100 events with an audience attendance of over 4,000 during the 7 days of the festival.
