There is a thing among Nigerian parents who live abroad. Most of these parents send their kids back to Nigeria either to discipline them or for education. Some say they want their kids to get familiar with their culture.

This is the story of Titi and Charlie who were ‘shipped’ back to Nigeria in their preteen years for their secondary school education without their consent.

Although they were both born in the United Kingdom, they both were tricked into coming back to Nigeria for their boarding school.

Titi and Charlie, in a series with BBC Stories, had a keen conversation with their parents on their action and the motivation behind it.

Although both didn’t hate the experience they had in Nigeria, they merely wished that they were informed about the decision before been dumped by their parents.
