Inspired by his love for culture and the beauties inherent in it, Documentary Photographer, Mayor Uto, decided to use his lens, creativity, ingenuity, and resourcefulness to bring to life the joy inherent in the cultures of Nigeria.

Mayor, via his twitter handle, gave his motivation for putting together the images, which he believes bring the uniqueness of the Nigerian craft and indigenous music to the limelight.

According to him, “A photograph is often seen as the strongest communication element in the world and certainly documentary images created by documentary photographers and street photographers have a strong role to play in social change. Poverty, hunger, child labor, war, and many other concerns are often addressed by these photographers, photojournalists, sometimes at great personal risk, with their personal finances.”

Here are the end products of his creative experiment.
