President Muhammadu Buhari has on Tuesday met with seven governors on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

The President met with the governors shortly after he arrived back in Abuja from his hometown, Daura, Katsina State after participating in Saturday’s Gubernatorial and State House of Assembly elections.

The governors of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi (Ekiti), Yahaya Bello (Kogi), Abubakar Badaru (Jigawa), Nasir el-Rufai (Kaduna), Atiku Bagudu (Kebbi), Abdulaziz Yari, Zamfara State and Kassim Shetima of Borno were those who were in attandance.

NAN reports that the agenda of the meeting was not made public and the governors declined to comment on the outcome of the meeting.

Station Magazine understands that the Meeting was called to discuss the outcome of the March 9 governorship and state assembly elections held in 29 states of the federation.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had earlier declared the governorship election of seven states inconclusive. These states include in Adamawa, Bauchi, Benue, Plateau, Kano and Sokoto inconclusive while all electoral processes were suspended in Rivers by the commission.
