Watch Short Animation About Father and Daughter Relationship, “Love Hair”

Director Matthew A. Cherry has left us amazed with an animation short film “Hair Love” features the voice of Issa Rae.

The short animation focuses on the relationship between an African-American father, his daughter Zuri, and the most challenging task a father could ever come across, making his daughter’s hair.

The debut short animation for Sony Pictures Animation is produced by Karen Rupert Toliver, Stacey Newton, Monica A. Young, Matthew A. Cherry, and Lion Forge Animation’s David Steward II and Carl Reed. Peter Ramsey and Frank Abney serve as executive producers.

Issa Rae played the role of the young girl’s mothers

The picture book Hair Love was released by Kokila Books/Penguin Random House, on May 14, and became a New York Times Bestseller.
